Salmon Cheese Puff Pastry

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Package of Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets, softened to room temperature

  • 5.2 oz of Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese (your choice)

  • 1 Pound of Salmon (skin off)

  • 1 tsp sea salt, for salmon

  • 1 tsp pepper, for salmon (option)

  • 1 Egg, beaten to brush on pastry


FOR THE DIPPING SAUCE:

  • 1 (10.75 ounce) Can condensed Cream of Mushrooms


DIRECTIONS: These Salmon Pastry are actually very simple to make.

  • Spread the cheese and layer salmon.

  • Roll, brush beaten egg on top of pastry

  • bake 425 F degree for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.


Note: cover lightly with aluminum foil to prevent from burning


But for a more specific step by steps:

Preheat oven to 425F degree (220C degree).

  1. Place ½ of the cheese spread onto one pastry sheet

  2. Add ½ of the salmon on top of the cheese spread pastry sheet

  3. Roll and transfer the puff pastry-wrapped salmon to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Brush the beaten egg on the top and sides of the pastry.

  5. Repeat steps 2-5 for the second pastry sheet.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until pastry is golden brown.

  7. Slice, then serve!
